My car is a 1966 Yenko Stinger. It is #100 of 100. I am working on putting the original race engine back together, as I would like to vintage race it, or at least run it on some tracks. This car was a race car from the day it was bought, with the 2 previous owners racing it extensively (I am the 3rd owner). I bought it when nobody cared about a Yenko Corvair road racer. I am very proud of my car (can you tell??), and have almost every paper from the day it was ordered in 1966.
Those old CJ's are very cool !!! We had a 1946 CJ2A with a Olds 215 aluminum V8 in it, and a Warn overdrive. It was one of the vehicles we sold before we moved to AZ. We already moved with 7. LOL
In Buckeye, they hire so infrequently that it takes forever to move up. When they do have openings, most of the time people transfer in to take the spots. Not good for seniority, but a very nice place to live. I won't complain !!! (well, maybe a little. LOL)![]()
Walmart here I come!

So today is dog day Friday! Had two hot dogs that were longer than the bunns. One with sourkruote, ketshup, and relish. The other, chili and cheese. Yummy! Truck is in the shop so no program truck right now and the one I was supposed to get was also in the shop. Saw Tom in the office when I got in. He is not feeling so well so send him a get well message. He went to the hotel to get some rest for today. Other than that, all is well and I am just getting over a sinus cold I had gotten last week. Be safe!
TomOfTx Thanks this. -
30 minute break time. I'm on my way to Vegas. I had 2 dogs also. We didn't have any Kraut, but I did have one chile, cheese, and onions............... and the other with relish and onions. Yep, they overhang the buns by about 2" on either side. Yummmm............... When I was picking up my paperwork, I almost went in and got another chili/cheese................. but, seeing as how I am heading to Vegas, I thought better of it.

Hey Tom, hope you are or get to feeling better. Allergies are brutal here right now. I don't have many, but the wife is asthmatic and is allergic to almost everything. She has been having a rough go of it for the last few days. She told me to tell you guys Mucinex is your friend. LOL Seriously though, it really helps with the allergy thing, believe it or not. It keeps stuff moving. She is pretty prone to sinus infections, and since she added that to her allergy regimen she hasn't had one.
Anyway, I only have a couple of minutes left, so I will talk at you guys later. I have a load of claims, and she is light..................... so my 301 miles should only take me a couple of hours, right?? LOL -
Hey Tom hope you feel better and thank you gentlemen for this great thread be safe.

Thanks guys. I am feeling a lot better after resting all day at the Holiday Inn near the DC. I missed getting in on the hot dog action today! Glad you guys who did enjoyed them!
Extreme4x4, drozzer69 and Boy Howdey Thank this. -
They have injury free drawings in Buckeye every week that there are no injuries. Just like in Sealy and every other DC in the country. Look straight ahead when you enter the break room the name of the weekly winner is up there. It's the first thing I look at every time I walk in.

I got the call and I start October 7. Very happy, but also very nervous. I know it is the right decision for me and my family, but there are some doubts and second thoughts. Anyone else have these feelings when they were about to start?
TomOfTx, drozzer69 and Extreme4x4 Thank this. -
Hardy congrats! Yes I did get nervous when I started. Wondering if it was right for me. I can honestly say that even though I am not home everyday like I was with Knight, it is less stressful here, they keep us busy, and of course the pay is very good too. All this makes up for not being home for 5 days. Just give it some time after you are on your own and you will settle into things and tell yourself, yes this was right for me. It was for me, Jim, Rich, Grabber, Tom and many others.
Buzzard2157, Extreme4x4 and jfred74 Thank this. -
Jfred, just ask any questions that you have, about things that are making you nervous. We would be more than happy to help. We have been there, so we certainly understand. It is always hard to switch from a known, even if not great, to an unknown. I was at my last job for 7 years. As they say, sometimes it is easier to stay with the devil you know, than go to the one you don't know. The good news here, this is no devil, and you will be happier than you can imagine.
Anyway, hearty Congrats are in order !!!! You will see, as everyone else has, just how right your decision was, when you start orientation.
jfred74 Thanks this. -
congrats to you... anytime your putting your well being on the line you will be nervous. I am sure you have sifted through the info on here and have a pretty good idea of what to expect. I walked away from a great job to come here, left 3 weeks vac ,a week of sick time and home every night and off weekends. I have not looked back at all still very pleased with my decision. Make great money get great rest, great equipment , treated awesome and have my schedule for an entire year.
welcome aboard.......jfred74, newbieatwalmart, Buzzard2157 and 2 others Thank this.
