I strongly advise anyone with half a brain in their head to stay clear of welfare express of Nastyville , Tennessee !!! You will never be paid what you are worth , you will tarp loads that the crooked sales people sell the customers that don't have to be tarped in the first place while they charge a premium dollar for it but pay the drivers $ 15.00 for tarping. There are not enough miles to even make a grand a week unless you are risking your life as a trainer. The average wait time for a P.M. is 2 days and layover pay is $ 35.00 . If you have a family and you love them , stay away from Welfare Express of Nastyville , Tennessee because working for them will leave you homeless , pennyless , divorced and possibly an alcoholic . You have been warned !!!

Well, if he's got 10 years in the business, he's worth a hell of a lot more than $0.32 cpm, that's for #### sure!!!! Even if he only had 3 years he should be able to command AT LEAST $0.38 cpm or more!!!!

All driver's working for any company are being paid exactly what they are worth! That's just common sense. However, some driver's are worth more than others. Sad to say but it's a fact. In fact, that rings true for every worker in America. Think about it.

What if you're a pennyless alcoholic BEFORE you drive for them?

As for the $15.00 to tarp---complete rip off!!! I know for fact that most shippers pay $80.00 to $130.00 per load for "tarp required" loads...and the trucking companies are willing to give the guy that does all the work 12% to 15% of that, just because they own the equipment?!?

Back when I started trucking...the first flatbed company I drove for required EVERY load (regardless of commodity or shipper request) to be tarped (their policy was "If it goes on the trailer, it gets tarped") and they paid the driver ZERO...they 'claimed' the pay was figured into the whopping 23% revenue they paid.
My best check for 6 days work was $340.00---home on Saturday mid-morning, and leave on Sunday early afternoon.

20 years later? Seems nothing has changed. LOL!!!

Oh, ########. Very rarely do any of these sheister companies ever TRULY pay a driver what he's actually worth. You want to talk about common sense? Common sense dictates that someone who works 70 hours a week (or pretty #### close to it, sure as hell not no 40 hours a week like everyone else), in all kinds of weather, road and traffic conditions, who has to know and obey the laws of every single state he travels to, works all hours of the day and night, is at risk of his life every single day, living in a space smaller than the closet in your bedroom, away from his or her family for weeks at a time (sometimes a month or more), and many times has to deal with extremely stressful situations of all kinds, especially if he or she has been doing all of the above for much longer than a year and a half, two years, is worth a hell of a lot more than a lousy $11.73 an hour, which is about the average equivalent of what the pay of most of these cheap ### trucking outfits pay these days!!!! $0.32 cents per mile! Yeah, right, and I'd be willing to bet they're probably charging the shipper $2, $3 a mile or more, ####### crooks!!!!!!
