it dont really matter what your tires are rated for or should I say how much weight they can handle all tires should be rated to handle an 80,000lb vehicle
but its real easy Drives no more than 34,000 trl no more than 34,000 which leaves 12,000 for steers
END of story period the end its not what they are rated its what the law allows....

but i have a spread. so i'm not limited to 34k. i can go 40k.

i would imagine it depends on the states. but me personally wouldn't chance over 12.3. on the steers. MAX ALLOWED IN OREGON.

Whenever I'm over 12K on the steers, I just have my girlfriend get out of the passenger seat and into the sleeper berth whenever a scale house is coming up. That usually puts me back legal again. :p

Slide your fifth wheel back. Then there's no reason to worry. Some states only allow 12000 on the steer axle
