I caught this on a news video. A guy who worked at Catfish Bend Casinos wanted to boost moral because of impending layoffs decided to post a Dilbert comic strip. In it Dilbert basically compares management to drunken lemurs. The managers at the casino weren't amused and fired the guy. But the Dilbert creator made another strip based on the employee's situation and ragged on the management for the firing.
Man fired for posting Dilbert comic

A person (management) cant laugh at life or ones self there is a problem.
I hope this guy finds a new and better job.
Must have been a nightmare working there anyway.
Or LOL this is a way to combat the employees cant gamble at work rule, and he has a secret way to win?? -
What a pathetic employer. I hope he finds another better job!!!!

Our Human Resources Director loves Dilbert... and has several strips posted on her door and around her office. She said management is one of the few things left in life that it's still politically correct to laugh at.

I think a company has the right to control this type of thing. You want to have a stress free work environment, but at the same time keeping it professional.
What I read I can see where there might have been a misunderstanding about the carton. The company was going through some layoffs, and normally during that time emotions are volitile. We don't really know what kind of relationship this guy had with management before the cartoon posting either. Maybe there's some history with this guy we don't know about. This guy might have had an attitude problem and what seems like an innocent joke if anyone else had done it, with this guy it didn't seem that way to management.
