Probably a low oil level shutoff. Pressure probably didn't drop until naturally when the engine was stopped. Provided oil pressure is what it was before and no knocks, bigdad7 suggests what I'd ask for. Pay for the wash, take the 5k points, and get a voucher for the next oil change free. Or another 25,000 points to use for that free oil change or half a tire or whatever else you could spend $250 on in the store or shop.
I'll echo what others have said: much easier for the manager to give stuff away that is not cash money.

Like they said, 5000 points is nothing, I'd say 2 Oil changes at any shop in their network and $200.00 for the washing off the oil. I would take it to the mangers managers manager! Or CEO! That guy needs hung up! He forgot the gasket? How much is a piece of machinery? And he forgot the gasket? You just don't "forget" with an expensive piece of machinery! I'd go or blood! Just Me though!

I can't believe he forgot the gasket. Then they send the same screw up on a road service call to fix it.

Well they are parts changers at best, not mechanics.

In that situation I would want them to cover the cost of new rods and mains + labor then go from there. They make the money to cover that and I'm sure they have good insurance too. After all its a $20k+ engine they did that too, not some $1500 grocery getter engine. Did you get pictures?

Not to.take their side but lets say you get into a fender benbender but there is no.damage ...and you are at fault
There is just a minor scratch the guy jumps out of his car says you owe him 20 k for tires a bumper shocks brakes etc because this is a sports car not some riceburner you could have caused untold damage....nope it don,t work like that unless there is provable damage which it dosen,t sound like there is no liability take what you can get and lets just say for the number of pm,s they do there really aren,t that many of theses storie fwiw. People are people mistakes do happentruckon Thanks this. -
If it was truck I would have went straight to a shop and had the rods and mains checked and they would have paid for that for starters
-
Yes I have pics. About 30
Different angles and such.
Did not think of checking engine yet. But might do that as some of you suggest it. But would it not be too late for check? I put about 2000 miles after that happened.
Thank you all for responds.baha Thanks this. -
