Do you mean that you have filed a credit application on two different trailers? Both have a good reputation and would serve you well.
-
Same company selling them, i apply but i have not decide witch one is better.

We have a few Fontaine Revolution trailers that we are testing out. From what I hear they are awesome. Only complaint is ours don't have any wood on the deck and some guys struggle to find center. Either one will be a good choice, go with what your finances can afford.
-
They struggle to find center because there isn't any wood on the deck????
That scares me. -
Yeah, some guys can't count stake pockets. Ours don't have "normal" stake pockets, they are milled into the cross sections of the deck. It's a nice trailer. With no wood running length wise down the trailer, it's not as easy to find center side to side when loading a coil.

A $2 tape measure would solve their problems.
Or even a $1 sharpie to mark the center.......Evil_E Thanks this. -
I'm always surprised at the number of times I see a coil loaded off to the side by a foot or so. Pet peeve of mine I guess. I always painted a dotted line right down the center of the trailer and marked the middle and where the axles are and the landing gear. I had a kit on so it saved pulling boards or peering over the edge. We loaded at a lot of steel mills and some of those old cranes are quite a ways above the deck so it helped them find the center when you were loading bars or skidded coils. Plus if you knew the crane operator you could bust his balls a little if it was off center "trailer is striped like a flipping highway and you still can't get it in the middle cheeze n rice!" LOL
macavoy Thanks this. -
Anybody can tell something about Manac trailer?
-
In the early 2000's I worked for a co that bought some brand new ones. The common issue they had was the floor separating from the rear bulkhead and lifting. I think they bolted the floors in like a combo. Maybe they upgraded since then. They hauled bar so they were fairly easy on their trailers. After a couple of years they went to Benson's.
