I think that I am in Caddo Mills, TX, 60 miles from the final. Think that do make a 8 am apt, better leave about 0530. Never can tell what will happen on I-30 when get close to Dallar

 

was sent a preplan early this morning to pick up a load in Long Beach heading to Pueblo, CO at the Target dc, on my way to deliver the current load I get a message from my DL asking if I would be willing to help move mt trailers around the bay area and after some new trailers I believe I was told in Fontana area up to the bay area and abandon the target load so I called him and said sure. They ended up having me get the load anyway since I was 2 miles from the next place and tcall in mira Loma. They put me in the UPS division and there is about 30 trailers the guy told me I will be gathering around the bay area and dropping at a UPS yard in Sacramento and then after that I should be helping move the new trailers. Was told I will be paid miles, short pay and hourly for any of the trailers that end up being short and the faster I move them the more I can make. Originally I was planning home time on the 4th but I will stay out longer to make this easy money and just go home at the end of October for my daughters birthday and take a week off.

 

been a trying 3 days for me with all the truck problem. did a local p/u and tcalled at edwardsville terminal. then headed to hutchinson ks for a 2000 pick up. got here just at 2000. road was closed at the 50, so had to go around. anyways, have to be in bellemont az at 09/28 1000. 910 loaded and 210 empty

 

while i was coming to the outbound gate of the terminal, i get a message asking me to remove my padlock from last trailer. oops forgot.went back and got it

 

lol I did that once, dropped a trailer at the Walmart DC in hermiston and then went over and grabbed an mt, right before I left I remembered my lock so had to shoot back over and get it. I got you beat though, I had to buy a new lock yesterday since I was an idiot and when I removed it I stuck it on the bumper to open the doors at my unload in Tucson, well I forgot to grab the lock and realized it was gone when I was loaded at the next place and went to put it on. Had to stop in Phoenix on the way to Ca to get the new one, freaking $40 for just a padlock is insane so I hope I dont do that again!

Might make me a sticky note and put it on my steering wheel "remember your lock?" since I have almost left it other times....another option is to put the key on my ignition key so I cant drive unless I have my lock. I remember a ton of stuff but that dang lock wont embed into my brain for some reason.

only had 3 hrs left so decided to take my ten here in hutchinson ks. for a medium size t/s, was more spots available than i thought would be at 2000 last nite.

 

Sulphur Springs, TX. Sure got a long way today. I have until Monday, 1000 to get 957 miles. Going to screw around on this one. Wolfy, you did notice that when you do your mt call, it reminds you if you have your lock. A while back picked up a t-called trailer in PHX. Driver left her lock on it. Called her on the phone, no answer. I had to go. About 4 hours later she called me back and I was up the road. Had to stop at El Paso to get them to take it off. I was tired of messing around with PHX that day. I doubt that she had to pay for a new lock since her old one was not "per se lost"

 

flying j in albuquerque nm. took hwy 54 pretty much the whole way from hutchinson ks to i-40. nice 2 lane highway. about 300 miles of it. was following a cr england for awhile. he was doing 55 in a 65 zone. had a nicew back up before i could get by him at next town. he did finally wake up and got up too speed after everyone giving him a bunch of poop over the radio. lol
