First off, if you had a 6 month medical and you haven't gotten the required testing, you cant legally drive for anyone. CRST put you out of service, but if you continued to drive and got pulled over, DOT would put you out of service with some pretty hefty CSA points. you are not legal to drive anywhere until you get your test.
Assuming you could get hired by another company, you couldn't legally drive for them. Generally the first thing companies ask for in the hiring process is your medical card. Either take a month vacation untill you can get tested with VA or pay for the test yourself and get it done now.

I had a valid California medical card on file that had 18 months left on the card. This is their doctor that gave me a six month card. I know when I am legal to drive or not. As a matter of fact, Schneider just gave me a new card last week for two years, but wont hire me. CRST never gave me my long to file at the DMV. I would have not done it anyway since I had 18 months left. If I had the thousand dollars to take the sleep test, it would have been done by now... To me the company should not give anybody a six month card on a eight month contract to begin with....

You have a point. I ran my butt off for them 30 days at a time. I forgot to get it done on time. Not that they would have got me home on time, because they never do! Seems to me you should not give out a six month card on an eight month contract to begin with. So I have to wait for the VA... No other company will take you if you are under contract. So I have to wait it out for 7 more weeks because its like I have the plague right now...

DOT says you can only legally carry your most recent card. If you take a physical early (before your 2 year ran out) and you only get a 6 month, then your 2 year card becomes void and your 6 month is the legal card. Who cares if it was an 8 month contract, you had plenty of time to get tested prior to the clock running out. They can't issue an 8 month card.
Lets say you were running your own authority getting your own physicals. after 7 months into your 2 year card you decide to get another physical and reup your card. If the new doctor only allows 6 months, the remaining 11 months on the original card are worthless. Now switching companies you were required by them to renew you medical card early. Since they felt your only good enough for a 6 month card, then extra on your previous is voided. -
Like I said. They never gave me my long form for me to file with the CA DMV. If it does not get filed then it is not valid...
