    2005 detroit diesel series 60 14L,
having a strange problem, occurs maybe once or twice a day at around 15mph.
sometimes i am unable to accelerate, no power, engine still runs produces allot of black smoke, then after a few seconds it runs fine again, very intermittent, filter looks good, have egr delete fitted, mpg is good, no other symptoms, any ideas, was pm'd 2000 miles ago, 600k on motor.

Have same truck, same symptoms. Mpg are 7+. It's some sensor..
what I discover it can be:
Egr or vpod, or vnt valves form the turbo( don't even try to adjust, need replace turbo), or delta psi sensor.
    Good luck!

Learned to peace with it. Just don't press acceleration too hard, accelerate slow, give him more time to get the speed. It's ok. Still making money, right?

Its worse when hot. On cold weather seems ok, but when gets really cold have start up problem. Need to keep the engine warm.
