there seems to be a little bit of coolant in my oil just a couple beads of water on the dipstick. but there is about a qt of oil in my radiator and i lose alot of coolant with no apparent leaks. the engine runs great tho......any idea of what it could be? i feel like its probably a blown head gasket
oil and coolant

What engine is in the truck? Sure sounds like a head gasket but it could be the air compressor, oil cooler, etc...

its a 1994 frieghtliner with the Detroit s60

Check the oil cooler. Does the engine smoke white? That can indicate some internal issues..
-
injector tubes?
-
no smoke out the exhaust just some steam out of the blow by and if it was the oil cooler would i be getting coolant in my oil or just oil in my coolant because i got both lol -
It can go both ways. One way of testing the oil cooler is by removing it & putting in a bucket of hot water and pressurizing it and look for air bubbles.
It's almost hard to diagnose these kind of problems over the web, but check around the head to see if there's any leaks around the gasket.jmarsh91 Thanks this. -
hopefully it is just the oil cooler

Most likely pin holes in one or all of the liners due to electrolysis. I would pull the oil pan and pressureize the cooling system. See if any coolant is getting passed the liner
jmarsh91 Thanks this.
