How come you have to request a fuel stop? Because you have to go off your designated route?

 

Ohio. They dont let you get off the routing for fuel etc.

Yep, good ol Oh. any weight ld. must have fuel stops if you want to get off and get fuel.
Other than that you park at the rest areas.

 

I stopped at the rest area on US35 just after you cross into OH from WV last thursday night. The DOT love to hang out there and hit up trucks, so when i got up and there were no DOT, I got the heck out of there. Made it 10 miles down the road and a DOT stopped me and asked to see my permit, and cut me loose. I was like "sweet" untill in Washington Court House another DOT stopped me and did a Level 3. Actually, he did just a level 2 (didn;t go under the truck) and gave me my LEVEL 3 sticker since I passed. He tehn reminded me to ONLY stop at the Eaton, OH TA since that is where where I had my fule stop put in for. COuld have gone worse, but all in all, a decent experience.

 

I didnt know u get a sticker for passing a level 3 if this is true ive gotten shorted 3 times

 

Every time I get a level 3 I ask for my sticker, they almost always say that they are out of them. They shouldn't be allowed to screw your day up unless they have stickers.

 

What is a sticker?

 

A CVSA sticker, they put them on the lower right side of your windshield after a clean level 3 inspection.

 

How long are they good for?
