If you are going to work for Linde make sure the site you go to is a union shop or you will probably regret it .

Hey Joe, good to see you are still out here, doing it to it.

I have to admit, I have to agree with Lost. You might want to give one or two thing that we will regret, if we take the non-union route.

Take care, and I hope you are doing well in general.

Yeah buddy still truckin. Thought I had a good job at Linde but when the drive cams were installed I decided to move on. They were so freekin paranoid that you were going to pick your nose while driving their truck they decided to watch you? Uh? Who wants to watch some driver drive? Anyway with the peoplenet and all the nit picking about every little thing it just wasnt worth it to stay. Thats why I say make sure if you go to work for Linde that the location has a union then they wont mess with you so much. So here I am again looking for that ideal driving job. Safe travels.

(I know this is a tad old)

So you just quit the company when the cams were installed? Or did you have something else lined up before you left?

More importantly: besides the cams, did you have any other issues?

Company I work for is considering installing dash cams in the trucks. It is a bulk hauler (tankers and dry bulk). This subject came up at our latest safety meeting. One of our drivers had purchased his own camera and had video of a four wheeler "merging" into his right front fender on a entrance ramp. Four wheeler claimed truck hit him. Video proved different. Company loved it. I don't have a problem with a camera facing outward, but one looking at me? No Way! The company says it does not want to have a camera facing inward and our union feels the same way. It may be fun to have videos of the way some of the folks drive around us!

Just quit. Micromanaging was just too much for me. No I had nothing lined up but if you keep your record clean then it is not real tough to look for other good companies. I also have the financial ability to weather a period of unemployment. If you cant then ofcourse open your options before you give notice.

    WOW, you quit?

Besides your other choices, look into any Driver Leasing companies in your area. I have been with a driver leasing place for 2 months now, and they lined me up with a pretty good gig.
