Funny you ask. Superior is not like most trucking companies. They won't leave you out for months at a time. Generally no more than two weeks tops and your back in. You can call ahead and see if the nearest terminal you will be dropping an empty tank at has something for you to keep you moving. Sometimes they do and sometimes they just dead head you home. If you are looking for good home time, you will get it here at Superior. If you are wanting to stay out 4-8 weeks at a time that will probably not happen.
I have been to Charleston and Linda is great. Very nice woman. They seem to have a lot of freight coming out of there too, generally. I think everyone is slow right now. We don't have nothing going on in Morrow. I got three days off until I go out again.

I ususally average 10-12 days and average around 2400 miles. Linda is true blue. I talked to several Superior drivers usually while fueling. Every one of them spoke well of Superior, which I thought was odd. If you live in the Charleston area you would be hard pressed to find a better place to work as a company driver. You would also being joining the most talented terminal of all of Superior terminals.

I am definitely excited about starting with Superior. I am going to go see Linda again this week to try and schedule an appt. for a physical and start the administration process. I still need to get a passport as well. She did mention I would have to go to Greer, SC for orientation. How long is that, and what is all involved with it?

It's a week of Hazmat training. Jack and Robert do a great job of taking boring and dry subject matter and making it tolerable. You will laugh a lot and learn a lot. Don't be late for class.

Who did you call?
Was it the Pasadena Tx Terminal or Oak Brook Il. They are picky and probably want to see your history. I believe I filled out an online application before meeting anyone as well. -
Go see them. Get your interview. When an opening happens you will be ahead of the game.

Sounds like you didn't get high enough up the food chain. Call them again and ask to talk to Avery. He is the terminal manager.
