He can restart 05:01 SUNDAY morning not Monday. If he stops at 4pm on Fri., then 1-5 Sat am is his first, then 1-5 Sun. is his 2nd. He can start at 05:01 Sun.

I run regional and so far it's been more recaps. Sometimes I'm home for 40+ hours and don't get a restart, all depends on what happened the weekend before.
900,000-tons-of-steel Thanks this. -
It is my understanding that the specifics of his previous restart are relative. Let's say he started a reset last Saturday at 17:00. At 05:00 Monday he is good to go. But if he started working Monday at 08:00, doesn't his next restart not come into affect until 05:01 Monday even if he starts the reset Friday.
-
If you started out at 0800 Monday morning, must assume that your last restart, started sometime on Sat. What time? Lets say that it was at 1300 sat. On 1300 of the next Sat. You can begin another restart.
-
That's almost how I was going to answer it.Evil_E Thanks this.

The key is when the reset starts. The earliest you can begin a reset is exactly 7 days (168 hours) after you started the last reset. It's that simple.
-
not that simple when the next week doesn't go like the previous week. LOL.
-
lol, it's a pita if you ask me. But understanding when you can use it is that simple.
-
You would have to wait until that monday at 8 am to start a restart 168 hours is exactly 7 days so you will get your restart on wednesday morning after 5am

E-LOG, just throwing it out there. I think that because many new drivers are having a hard time understanding logging, maybe elog might help. Not saying paper should be replaced, but for training elog may help. I had a trainer and he showed me the basics, but elog helped me understand how it has to be done. Not that I Liked E-LOG.
