besides my Alternator dying on me in Ohio, costing the boss man $600 & delaying me a tad bit it was uneventful, now the hard part is finding something paying over 2.00/mile to get outta here!!

Boy, I70 West was screwed up.
at the 91, FOUR trucks rear ended each other, then on the ramp for 465 South, a Swift flipped over!
What a deal. I could make out a ATS flatbed with no hood etc, and the rest were freight haulers. Truly stupid.

I have on a D8 R L model dozer. Was told 80k so I was trying to get extra weight to be on the safe side in case I crossed a scale before I could get to a on rte. fuel stop.
Knocked it back to 15/60/60 and got my permit in 2 hours.
Then I get it and they routed me around the scale house.. Go figure. Get to my rted fuel stop and weigh. Light unit.
Great. Then I find out on I71 in Ky. somewhere they are only letting legal weights on it. Ok give her new rtes. and because she did not put the right abrevation for pkwy they rejected the app. Then when she finally resubmits it they are closed..
Glad I got an extra fuel stop on my permit or it would be a night in a rest area with an unhappy Thai wife about this cluster..
I really do not know what is going on with our permit dept this week as some of the other guys are having issues also..
Oh Haulhand, your "buddy Steve Sharp " got caught again in Oh...:yes2557::biggrin_2555:

I'm at the Charlie's Fancy Truck Stop in Norfolk, VA. Going to get my big brake press on in the morning, then off to Columbus area.

It took 7.5 hours to get loaded and 4 hours to get unloaded, but I got to see a aircraft carrier up close in the shipyard. I was told it's a Ford class aircraft carrier.

That boat is going to drop a transmission as soon as the warranty has expired :biggrin_25522:

    Norfolk or Virginia beach?
If at Virginia beach go across the road to the steak house for supper. Little pricy but way better than the trk. stop.
Heck there is a Wendy's and a waffle house near by also
