I worked for jbs a few years ago and I worked on thanksgiving and I was planning on taking Christmas off. The closer it got to Christmas they were offering extra pay it started at 200. extra but I didn't bite when it was all said and done they paid me 800.00 I was cool with that and I got home for the new year.

Hey Army Guy, I know you live in Florida and Carroll Fulmer is a pretty good co. out of Groveland, they OTR and dedicated, which hubby is doing for Home depot, Ga. mile marker 2 to Miami,Hialeah etc. and home every week end monthly bonuses are nice. Good luck in getting home, that was one of the reason he left JBS never could get him home

    ArmyGuy Thanks this.

I have a cam installed in mine and I don't really care.

The camera only stores 10 seconds of video when triggered by a G-force above a set parameter. Yes it will record hard braking, bumping a dock too hard, severe pothole, etc. That video is later uploaded to DriveCam via cell link (@ 0200 in my trucks case) for review. DriveCam looks at it then decides whether it should be forwarded to JBS. Supposedly most events recorded are not even forwarded. As for off-duty privacy I was specifically told to go ahead and cover the driver side lens, just to be sure that it is unobstructed when driving. There is no active, real-time data link from the camera to DriveCam, let alone to JBS, so this system is unable to allow "spying" on drivers on a whim.

I would hit a dock hard on purpose while flipping the camera the bird! But that's just me.

Or have a small sign in front of it (all the time) that reads...."The only thing I'm hiding is my privacy"

Actually, that's DriveCam and how they operate. Easily searchable.

Calling it quits at JBS. Found a local job that will pay more, have better benefits, more days off and home every night. I personally had a good experience there and wish everyone good luck. OTR is tougher than I thought it would be but I am happy to have done it. Time to move on now and rediscover what it is like to see my wife everyday again! Take care all and drive safe.

Poobah, hrdman2luv and Dinomite Thank this.
