I made it home. Going to help finish up tonights milking aka stand around and drink beer.

Shop work the next couple days. Harvest is almost here so I have a bunch of work to do on the hoppers. I love fall.

MJ1657, A little of both on this trip.
What should of been an easy permit ld. has been a cluster..
Glad I have a Tn. blanket or even that might get messed up.
Scary last words I heard from my permit lady was I'll get started on your Ar. and "tweak it"
What tweaking needs to be done I do not know, as I gave her all the rtes. with the detours included. Dammm near can drive Ar. in my sleep as I've driven it enough in the last 2 years...

    MJ1657 Thanks this.

maybe some of you expect to much from a truckstop. all I want is a parking spot, coffee in the morning and a place to crap in the morning and a shower.

the queen city in meridian ,ms did just fine for that this morning, and the 2 egg, meat, grits and 2 biscuits and coffee for 5.59 wasn't a bad deal either.

honestly, after growing up a little poor, not having indoor plumbing til I was 16, and 4 years of a being an infantry soldier, 33 years of trucking, I aint hard to please.

At the house for the second night in a row. Decided to try my hand at local trucking and have been doing quite well. Ran all over NW Indiana and Chicago today, delivered 2 loads and then loaded up a 3 piece LTL that will take me to Warsaw, IN and Toledo then down to Indy. Should be back home Thursday night with a great week and a 3 day weekend ;)

I'm absolutely ecstatic that he got caught. If you couldn't tell that prick isn't my buddy. About 5 years ago I broke my trailer under a pump in Wendover. I needed to get it hauled over to Baggs, WY which was about 500 miles. I called him and he sent a truck to me about a 200 mile deadhead I pulled a bed truck and a crane off location in Elko to come help and it took 4 hours to load because his driver couldn't back up with his jeep on the ground and refused to drop it. About 2 weeks later I got his bill which was 18690 dollars for that 500 mile move. Two years later when after I replaced that trailer he called me for the exact same move except he needed a winch truck that could load and unload its self and told me he'd pay 6000 dollars all in and this one was 2.5 feet wider and a foot taller I laughed and told him to stick it in his ### and we haven't spoke since.
