I didn't see what kind of truck they were driving, and I agree with you if it is anything fairly late model. The cab of my 359 pete is so small I can reach across and roll up or down passenger window with crank on the door. I can't imagine teaming in a rig that small though although I'm sure they did in 1985 when it was new. And yes just because I can reach window crank doesn't mean I can safely or that I have ever tried moving I'm sure some have though

From a smoker if you get low you buy some. If you are driving and are low you have another pack handy before you leave. Plain stupidity. You'd think he started smoking last week.

 

Or keep them in a cubby hole nearer to him so he does not have to reach far or look what he grabbing. Always kept extra near by so I did not have to go reaching or stopping

 

I feel like he is trying to justify his stupidity in his explanation and put most of the blame on the cows. Had this been me, I would have kept my mouth shut......only talking to LEO. Idiot.

 

"Glove compartment" was used by the reporter writing the story , the smokes could have been the in overhead bin , or just laying up the dash , maybe he was going for the codrivers pack stuck up under the passenger side visor.

 

The truck was a 379. I can very easily reach my glovebox while driving.... Although I don't

 

Well, I am sure this is not the first time he did something like that.. some, not all, get too comfortable and confident behind the wheel.. and, it is scary, cause you know be isn't the only one that did or does that..

Hopefully, it will make some multitasking drivers think before they reach for something..
