I pulled into the wrong place, they told me the place I was looking for was 2 buildings down. As I was leaving my trailer flat'nd the stop sign they had. Stupid me. Nobody saw it so I just moved on. Came back a week later and they 'somewhat' had it put back up. Sorry for that..... Oh well. It didnt look like the first time it had been run over.

232trucker you have done the right thing of sorts and no it will not hurt you. Show a pattern of damaging things and then yes you will draw attention. But 1 or 2 minor incidents they'll look over.

Your main concern is not to forget that trailer behind you and how much extra room it needs to track. Always use every possible inch to go wide as possible in them tight turns. If you can't turn right then turn left and find a place to safely turn around. The f-it or I think I can doesn't work in an 18. There is a solution for every problem in this industry if one just takes time to think. Of course experience helps and we learn from our mistakes. I can tell you are one that cares and learns. You'll be okay.

People have done far worse then that.Nothing will happen.A sign is minor. What I did a few months ago i'm at Tyson waiting for guard to open the gate and forgot to set my parking brk.Trk rolled a few feet and broke the gate arm.Tyson reported it and I never had to pay for anything and my company never said a word.Things happen I wouldn't worry about it.

 

I can't count the times that arm was broken and they stick two guards out there. They must have a storage room of gate arms somewhere.

I myself have been at this for many years.I have tore some #### up..I rolled one many years ago and i am still driving..A while back i tore my door off coming out of the tunnel docks in Queens.I took it to Brooklyn and got it fixed,no big deal..I could go on and on about the mishaps pulling this 53 footer around for some 30 years...#### HAPPENS...

The only person i have ever met with a perfect record is the guy LYING about it at the coffee counter at a truck stop....We all #### up and will #### up again....
