I am NOT the world's best blind side backer, and really hate doing it. It's a good thing tho, that I'm very anal about getting out and checking when I have to. This other driver was standing out there watching me, and he wasn't going to say a dang thing if I had hit the truck that I couldn't see. *sighs* Whatever happened to helping people out!!!!!!!

 

we stopped helping people out. becuase most get pissed and say GET LOST.

 

A nice truck and very comfortable to live in. Always hard to move out of a 780 but that is a good substitute. Have fun on your new adventure. British Columbia is gorgeous.

 

when you hit the border. ask them about duis and what not. everyone says i can't. but the military says i shouldn't have a problem.

find out what would prevent a trucker from entering. and how far back they look.

my history is expunged. dui is 18 years old. so, the only way canada would find out. is my lifetime mvr.

ask them how far back they go on mvr's.

i wouldn't mind taking a trip into alaska if i can get into canada.

one thing i could see being a problem though, is my truck is goverened at 70. and not their 65.

 

BC and YT don't care about governed speeds. I believe it is only Ontario. I don't know if any of the company trucks are governed. The speed limit is mostly 55 and 60 through BC and YT. I think the weather will take care of the speed limit all on its own for the next couple of month.

I always heard that it has to do with arrest records of being denied entry. I will see what I can find out.

AFTER sitting in north dakota for 3 hours and finding nothing but cheap hey. i decided to head to billings for a load on monday, got 100 miles away when the phone rang. so now i'll spend the night. and head back to where i just left in the morning. for drilling mats going to west virginia.

wish they woulda called BEFORE i left town. i woulda been loaded and on my way. instead of burning up 2 hours today and 2 hours to go back in the morning.

got my tomtom for truckers downloaded. got a new gps map to play around with now. not QUITE as friendly as copilot. but it was only $50. for those that are looking for a cheaper gps.

 

I hate places that think we are a free storage place for them to use!!!!! Finally got a door, and hour and a half past my apt time, and at 2 and half hrs, still waiting to be unloaded.

 

Reefers seem to have that problem a lot...Vans not quiet so bad.


Had a nasty fall down the back steps last night So have a messed up shoulder and a sore bum, could have saved the Butt if I hadn't been holding the dog lol.
