engine won't stop cranking

    What starter do you suggest? The 39MT is a gear reduction high torque alumimum starter and much more reliable than the 42MT's. I wasnt aware of a better alternitive.

    Insurance claims adjusters saw plenty of that in 2009-2010. Peculiar timing for the occurrence too. ;)

    If you find those manual cut off switches, make sure they can handle the current. There is a huge amount of power that runs through the starter system. I've seen trucks with two cables run in parallel to the starter.

    Tried to do an old school jump start with a very large screwdriver at the starter, and the screwdriver melted with the current running through it.
