"Hold on a second" (slam the door real loud) "OK, just checked and the signs on the door still don't say Goodwill. Thanks for the offer, but no."

Well I'll be happy to tell you who will haul that load all the way across the country. It's the super big flatbed company that has 10000 trucks that pays the driver 44 cents per mile. The driver problem has a contract that says he has to be out 3 weeks at a time.
We are undercut by big flatbed carriers.

I know just how you feel. I moved one of those loads yesterday and its only tapped to keep the wind from messing up the packaging. My tarps are just for looks, they won't keep anything dry, I catch a weather forecast before hauling anything. Screw hauling anything through the rain only to have your tarps to be repaired later.

Isn't Mason Dixon part of the Matty Maroun empire? If so I'm surprised they even pay over a dollar per mile.

Yup they are. they also do have some good paying freight but its not that easy to get

How do you calculate your costs? Do you use a specific tool or do it all manually?
