Well I am here at the Mountain Home , Idaho pilot off of exit 95. On I-84 stopped for the night.. I will creep into Portland tomorrow but my delivery is set for Friday cause my hours are so low. I am actually parked beside another JCT driver but have not met them yet. For the week I am still averaging 7.4 mpg with a non aerodynamic trailer and running heavy loads above 75000lbs gross and all these majestic mountains that I keep riding like a bad roller coaster. Lol I think I beat the first winter storm of the year that is set to hit Idaho and Wyoming tonight through Friday dropping 4-12 inches of snow. Hopefully I beat it and won't have to worry about it. If anyone is running that way please be safe.

"Accidentally" spill diesel on them. Might smell better than...well, the alternative.

Any jct drivers know what the $1914.18 r/o# is on first settlement sheet with no revenue? Shows me $1997.00 in the hole.

Contact Royce in the shop tomorrow. An R.O . Is for maintenance, so if I had to guess, the bill came through after you took on the truck and should be waived or charged to the previous driver.

    TYSONDRIVER1 Thanks this.

Picked out a truck today: White 2012 Cascadia with 308K on the ODO, in pretty nice shape, looks well cared for, starts right up, engine very clean. Just needs a few items taken care of then should be good to go. No APU, unfortunately, but I can add one after a few months for a 2yr adjustment to weekly pmt. Should pay for itself by about then or sooner. They might be replacing the steers, but the drives are sweet super-singles with lots of tread left. Looking forward to it!

Were there no Evolutions in the Pin? Or you didn't want that payment? I wish you luck.

After a rare double-swap, I got a load from Winslow, AZ to Rancho Cucamonga, CA. Since this load doesn't deliver until tomorrow afternoon, I decided to swing by the house. It was a beautiful day in Las Vegas (until the afternoon wind picked up) and I took advantage and rode my scooter (Honda Reflex) around doing a few errands. O'Reilly Auto Parts has Mobil Delvac on sale for $11.99/gal, so I grabbed a spare.

When I checked in at the truck, I had a preplan waiting. After my delivery tomorrow, I head over to the Colton yard to drop and hook a trailer heading to Paul's Valley, OK. It's a nice 1,348 mile drive delivering on Monday. I should cross paths with CapeBuffalo somewhere on I-40 Saturday. I hope we get a chance to stop together and compare notes.

It occurred to me that I forgot to update you on my mileage goal for September. I was rolling at midnight on the 30th, but I estimate that I made 13,550 miles for the month! As winter approaches, I'll be happy to drop that down to 11,000 miles/month or so.

I rarely go home. I take time while I'm out on the road, if I run across something interesting, or just feel like taking a break. I have a room I rent, just to remain eligible for my per diem, but otherwise...I got rid of my apartment, put all my stuff in storage, and stay on the truck. Since my home is technically in California, I can usually stop and pick up my mail and stuff during a run through CA. It works for me.
