All companies have problems at times. We try to keep our drivers happy and get them home every other weekend. We are a small company with 12 straight trucks and 2 tractors leased on with Panther Expedite. I'm not just the owner, I'm a driver too. :yes2557:

Don't belive the owner. He lies on the witness stand because he don't want to pay when you quite. On the road seven weeks before we got our first pay check.

Wow, you sure seem to think you know so much about Mayfield Express LLC Susan. You did over $2000.00 worth damage to our truck and your settlement was held because you refused to come back to drive after you was told you would be charged for the unreported damage. Only $1000.00 of your settlement was charge to you as part of your contract you signed with Mayfield Express LLC. As for the lies that it took seven weeks to get paid. No we pay our drivers when the carrier pays us. If you don't turn it the paperwork on time is that our fault? No, your reason was we wasn't by a truck stop so we could scan the paper work into the carrier. Twenty two other drivers could do it on time and get paid on time but you and your co-driver couldn't.

I used to drive for a specialized company called SOS Expedite based out of New Bern, NC. We hauled sports broadcast gear. I have been out of trucking for the last two years.

I have begun the process of leasing with Mayfield. I've done my research on both Mayfield and Panther. I see the available trucks on the website and I'm not concerned about a truck that's older.

You have to take care of the equipment because its what allows you to make a living. I believe you must run hard and work hard, because at the end if the day, your income is based on how hard you work.

i am not one of these guys who believes what another driver says. If Dave Mayfield didn't jump in and shut down this Louis guy/gal, the whole trucking universe would have thought only negative things about Mayfield.

Ive followed Panther Expedite for awhile and you don't make $230 million dollars a year in revenue unless your doing something right.

i cannot wait to get the call from Mayfield, I am ready to go.

Your full of crap!!! I've seen their trucks, they look better than most of what's on the road today. It's the drivers responsibility to keep a truck up. I didn't say foot the bill, I said maintain it.

If your not doing pre and post trip inspections, checking tires everything you fuel, reporting when a truck isn't operating properly so you can get into a shop, than your truck is not going to do what it's supposed to. It's called being proactive.

if you don't attack the problem when it first occurs, it manifests into a larger, more expensive problem. You know what costs more than a repair? Extensive downtime!!!
