I have been looking into them for awhile but mostly see posts about other places other then Chicago. I'm currently running local LTL but need to make more money. Was told by my manager that I would get a pay raise by the end of Aug but still nothing. And when I asked about it was told maybe next year.

I wish I could help you out but I work intermodal in St Louis. I do know that we are a priority carrier for most railyards so we get treated a little better.
-
better stay where your at if more money is what you need, cause it sure ain't at jbi,and yes i work out of the charlotte terminal doing intermodal.
-
Josh you know better then to listen to haters like this guy, make your own decision as you know, majority of us wont hate and we will be honest with you.
-
That's due to where you are. Nyc, la, dfw, atlanta, and chicago there is money. Smaller areas like nc, sc, va, upper ny, seattle. I don't see there being a whole lot of money, as there is no freight going out an hardly any coming in, i myself may grab one load every other week coming or going into your area. Like I said I am back on nights with a split weekend. Last week my lowest day was 186 an my high on sunday was 249.

Any one have the health ins, or know how much it costs for the family ins?
-
I had it, read my previous post with a review. I found some better ins online for a whole lot cheaper. I hace no kids but for just my wifr and I it went from 87 a week to 116 last nov. I still keep their dental an vision, its good. Surgerys an tooth pulling don't kick in until one year but basic check ups are covered. Both combined are about 6 a week

I have jb's, while it did go up last coverages are still good , they went up so high last year cause of the obamacare issue. Jb pays almost double of what I do and we get a credit back to.
for a family of 4 this is my deductions.

The med credit is for non smokers $5 an taking an online health eval $5. I just dumped it, its a lot cheaper with all this obamacare crap. Plus my wife an I catch a cold a year if that, other than dot physical I haven't seen a doctor in 4 years.

I don't go to the doctor often but its nice to have, Last year my wife had to have open heart surgery and it help out tons. So I will not drop my insurance just for the fact of it being a nice thing to have .
I don't qualify for barry care even if I wanted it, This through the employer is better plus its all pretax too.
