LOL you talked to Laura didn't ya? Yes, the Dekalb account is getting some extra Wal-Mart runs so they need extra drivers. She sent us QC message asking if any of us would be willing to go work there for 2 weeks. Their account is a little different than ours plus I am still getting comfortable here so I turned it down.

Second week was good, just like the first. I did do that early run to Clinton PA this week. The suck part is that you have to leave the Goodyear yard by 2AM or you won't make it, the good part is the unload is quick and easy so you are usually out in 2 hours. I don't think I have been in this good of shape since I was in the Military, and just after 2 WEEKS! Gets some good gloves, I still haven't found a pair that don't leave my hands and knuckles swollen and in pain!

 

Is it my old eyes did the summery section on the elogs change?

 

Gripping 1400 tires and bouncing them every day does a number on your knuckles and hands. Mine are swollen and in pain(not like unbearable pain but uncomfortable) Maybe once my hands get more use to it it will get better IDK.

I have a pair of Mechanix gloves, lots of padding on the palms and fingers but they really aren't helping. This weekend I am gonna try a pair of Anti-vibration gloves and see if they help. I have a pair with the hard plastic on the top of the hand and fingers, what I am looking for is a pair with that hard flexible plastic in the palm and the bottom of the fingers, but haven't found them yet.

 

Yea, I am gonna try a pair like that. I don't know if they will help. If you look at the top of those, I am looking for a pair that has that plastic on the bottom instead of the top, those would be perfect I think.
