Guys, This is an informative thread, not one to bash what JCT has or doesn't have, These guys here are happy, They run hard and make good money, they explain what they do and how they do it. They don't need to know what you think about how they run their businesses, I'm not trying to start anything, I'm just trying to explain that they come in here put up their expenses what happened to them and how much they are making, They are happy at JCT there are plenty of other threads to go and leave your opinion of their Super Singles and this that and the other, I have gained a great respect for Sharpp and the other frequent posters that post their happening in here, Please let us not send this thread into a opinion spat about nothing you or I can change. Thank You very much.

I've run three winters with them and don't see the traction issues you're talking about at all. The tires I'm running have a pretty aggressive tread and I drove through some heavy weather with no problems. The fact that we're usually at 70k lbs or more helps, but I ran them at Watkins Shepard in the northwest with a lot of light loads too. They are also much easier to chain, if you're so inclined. When you're talking about small fuel savings, it's impossible to tell on a single truck. You can pick up or lose 1/10 mpg just by moving your seat forward or back, lol. The weight savings is pretty nice.
Per your previous post, yes, I live in Henderson. I'm over by Basic High School (they must have run out of names or something. . .) Welcome back to OTR!TrukTuff Thanks this. -
That's the direction I'm moving, though whether a state taxes a federal annuity is important, since I have one of those. That's also why having a comfortable truck is very high on my list and why I hope JCT looks positively on my regional experience. Time will tell.

When I started with JCT in February of last year, I only had 2 years of recent regional exp. All the rest of my driving since 1998 has been local. JCT didn't have any problem bringing me aboard. And as far as super singles go...I prefer them over duals, and I spent the majority of last winter driving them over and through snow and ice. Every driver has to determine his/her comfort level and drive accordingly....I'm just sayin'!Runnin, Lady K, luvtotruck and 1 other person Thank this.
