Is it mostly Solo drivers that fail? Teams?

I did relief and recovery for one year at CRE. The only reason I stayed that long was becuase I had a really good teammate and we would make some decent money doing the reliefs for people. Not having your own truck has its disadvantages, like no satellite radio and no buying your food at walmart to stock up, because you don't know how long you'll be in the truck and you have to pack lightly. The recoveries sucked, 2 of the recoveries I had to do the batteries were dead. I liked the flights out but sometimes they made you ride greyhound for 1 or 2 days to get to a recovery and the $150 they paid you was totally not worth the time wasted. When I quit I was mad because they wrote the wrong key number on the slip, so I get flown to Las Vegas with the wrong key for the truck! And then you constantly have to get chains, load locks and the registration ifta stuff for each truck. I was getting 35 cpm but when you get hometime sometimes they would give me like 3 weeks hometime, while they would take out health insurance for each of those 3 weeks.

It sounds to me that CR England just sucks. Why anyone would drive for them is a mystery to me.

I work for CRE. It's a pretty good entry-level job. I can go home almost every day and I make about $1000/week

I deliver groceries to Wal Marts. CRE seems to ave most of the WM business and there are a lot of positions available. BTW about the whole "leasd nightmare" thing: From my observation, CRE never lied about this. If you do what they want - lease a truck and be a trainer - then the money really is good (avg $60k/year) for an entry level job that is good. But I considered it too stressful and risky. A lot of people sign up for this who don't have what it takes and don't recognize their own limitations - that is why they fail.

I get about $1000/week for what I do and believe that is fair pay for an inexperienced driver.

I don't believe you. I really don't. And I don't think anyone who has driven for more than a week believes you either.
