Charli Girl is right and if you already have a PO (probation officer assigned), you're already fully mucked up. Probation reports come into play AFTER conviction and BEFORE final sentencing. It sounds like you have been convicted for all purposes and maybe have some wiggle room as to what.

If there is any violence involved, especially where a weapon was mentioned, you could be toast for a long, long time. A USPS contractor would not touch you because USPS would not touch you. You'll have difficulty getting Haz or TWIC. I would avoid the megas. You will be asked if you have any current charges not yet final.

I would talk to another atty for a second opinion muy, muy pronto to be sure I understood what the Hell was going on. Attys are notorious for assuaging your fears while 'settling' you down the river.

    Tomorrow's Monday.

Most reputable atty's first consult to see your case is gratis (free). You need to put together a list of local criminal attys and be at the office of the one at the top of the list tomorrow 8 a.m.--then get an appt with the next one for the free consult. By the time you have a few opinions (at no charge), you'll better understand where you really stand.

I've had my laywer for my custody battle also I've known him for a while he's well known and loved where I'm from. i trust him. and i got lied to about age and sex happened so jm screwed on that. that's why its been dropped to a misdemeanor and since she lied soo much there is still wiggle room so i should be ok with no felony but the probation is what.i wanna.know if that will kill me before i start

Everyone is right, get it dropped if possible. Are you on probation yet? If so ask your po.

    I don’t get it.

How can you have a parole officer if you have not been convicted yet?

Yep this is what I was thinking too....but I'm no lawyer. To the OP....... don't go to the time and expense quite yet of going to school and getting a CDL. Get your "personal" problems taken care of , go and get another type of job , it can still be in the industry , try and get on with an LTL carrier as a dock hand. (til your "probation ? " is finished ) Get a good stable work history established , then go to school and put yourself into the driving job market.

Get it cleared up , from an employers side of things it costs $ when you need time off for court , and the hassle if they garnish wages for child support , let alone when the office gets harrassed from someone wanting to know your every move

    Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.

I haven't been convicted yet and i have a p.o because i know I'm gonna end up on probation so we gpt the ball rolling and it was more of an evaluation of what they think of me and see if all this drama is worth it.

If i'm reading this all correctly, there is a good chance you will end up on the SEX offenders list and have to report your whereabouts each time you move.
Pretty much screwed the pooch on this. Most companies won't touch you, as they have to maintain a file on you and their customers won't let you on their property.
You could get your own truck and authority, but probably have to pay through the nose for bonding, so there goes the profits.
She may have lied, but your the one who got screwed.

    Tonythetruckerdude Thanks this.
