You know.. it is not just CR England...
And.. they don't even try to hide it.. it is right there on all of their websites.. they say it loud and clear.. step one. CDL schhol.. no money up front, we will take it our of your check later or bill you if your no longer with us.. step two, go out with a trainer for 5 weeks.. step three.. lease a truck.. no credit check no money needed.. step four.. become a trainer..
Hmmm.. so with little to no training I can get a pretty truck of my own, even though I can't get a car loan, and be paid to train new drivers.. where do I sign.
I live near casinos and see people gambling away money they can't afford to lose in hopes of winning enough to pay their bills and maybe a bit more.. they see the lights and glitter and malready feel like a winner..
To me, those that go to a CDL mill company are no different then those that walk into a casino and belive they will walk out with more money then they had going in..
The odds are always in the casinos favor.. same with the CDL mills...
While it is true.. some people do win at casinos.. and there are a few drivers at CR England znd the other training companies that survive... It is like 2%..TruckDuo and drvrtech77 Thank this. -
I've read a lot of the complaints and after comparing them with my own first-hand experience, it's pretty clear that CRE's main fault is letting too many people in who are too immature or otherwise troubled to handle a job that is not for just anybody. But I have been successful here, like many others, and it had nothing to do with luck -
Just curious how they attract someone to do relief and recovery work? They offer there new school graduates these positions...

I don't need to read the post, the fact that you left shows you wised up and went to a better company, they are the WORST

Plz let us know in 3 months if that if you're still doing well with England.
blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
The only time I had a problem with a CRE teacher was when one tried to tell us the green dotted lines on an atlas are the designated truck routs. He said the yellow highlights should be ignored. Um. just wow.
Meanwhile, yes. You CAN make some money with CRE. You have to run teams, you have to train, and that means you have to get along with everybody, no matter how whacked in the head they happen to be. My 1st trainer was a committed tea party kinda guy who never shut up about politics. Consequently, he lost all cred when he tried telling me the military was a private for-profit organization that never received a dime from the Govt.. My 2nd trainer was from jamaica and did not know much of anything about the business of trucking. He was destined for failure since he always wanted to get home to get some nookie while I sat in his truck.
Back to the point; you need those trainees to give great ratings or you'll end up having to run solo. And solo LOs are the ones making Ramen wages, if that. And trainers can fail too. I've recovered trucks from trainers that simply did not want to run - they would do hardly more miles than what I did as a solo. Other trainers would plop a student in the drivers seat and max out his hours - no training, no coaching, nothing. Just shut up and drive. They're the ones who produce bad drivers while reaping great paychecks. They treat the system like it is; rent a slave.
But once you get a reputation with the company - for any reason - CRE quits giving you students.
So once a guy kicks a student out of the truck for ejaculating all over his sheets, the company quits giving him any more students. (Yes, this is what the Qcomm messages showed). Evidently, CRE thinks a guy is supposed to tolerate it until he can get back to a terminal.blairandgretchen Thanks this. -
We have had several drivers on here that defended CRE with all their might, and ranted at anyone who disagreed with them. Funny thing, I don't know of a one that is still on the forum. . .
Ripped cord87 and blairandgretchen Thank this.
