Yeah, I love the okanagan, have a beautiful house, just bought a investment property, kids, family, exes, in laws, friends, and my girlfriends job commitments are all concrete there. Short term pain for long term gain I guess lol!

The next day.
So went to my interview and drivers test today for JB Water - passed it, they hired me.. I havn't told first canada yet, I am supposed to head up to camp for them on friday (###### i left my new boots up there....) and should really give 2 weeks notice even though I have worked for them for 2 weeks already.
Anyways.. I am supposed to go back tomorrow for an all day orientation - man the jobs are falling from the sky here now.
They want me on a water truck, which is surprisingly one of the places I wanted to eventually get to - they also said there is no spring breakup for them and they had 80 trucks going strong through the 4 months of breakup.
- Salary: $300.00 to $450.00 Daily for 40 hours per week, Commission, As per collective agreement, Medical Benefits, Dental Benefits, Group Insurance Benefits, Vision Care Benefits
- Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible
It says per collective agreement although they are not union, it also says 40 hours / week however the shift is 10-12 hours, paid as a day rate and the commission is 6% of what the truck makes. That money is deposited into an interest bearing account as a ' loyalty ' bonus and you can have a cheque cut on the 3rd anniversary for the full amount.
what do you guys think?
Thoughts on water hauling for a rig?

I have Baffins, I like them. Found them to be more comfy around the calf. Didn't buy the bama booties, found I didn't need them. Maybe I'll pick up a pair just in case.

Bet they will start you off cheap.

Thing with using the bama booties is they take up the sweat so the boots stay dry. The boots have to be big enough so that your feet aren't tight. Tight or wet=cold. They also make not bad slippers in camp
freedom4me and Licensed to kill Thank this. -
Dunlops n bamas is all I wore from last Nov-mud, size 14 to fit the bamas so a bit sloppy with just socks but surprisingly warm all winter.
