Stephen, Anna, and Julie get a lot of positive feedback as dispatchers. I'll warn you now Jaso that getting a new DM is like pulling hen's teeth. I was assigned my first DM at the end of training. Had her for two days before she was fired/quit. Spent 8 weeks begging for a DM until I got put with the girl who replaced my first. DM#2 was great and I liked her, but she quit or was fired July 4, then I raised heck for a week until I got what I wanted from the start. Very difficult. I was actually persistent and professional about the whole thing. And distressed. But now that I got the kinks worked out, life is good. Except for night and weekend dispatch. My DM knows that they seem to go the extra mile to screw up my runs. Its actually why I stopped running overnights. I got tired of dealing with those useless turds more than I had to.

Hey HTQ, for the blog... Save-A-Lot in Humboldt, TN has a gravel lot you can park in if you arrive early or are out of hours at delivery. Receiving hours are 2200-0400. Drivers can start checking in at 2100.
HometimeQueen and kirk Thank this. -

I have Patrick but I got him on Friday and he hasn't been here if he is not there tomorrow I am going to break chops to get assigned someone who is. I like to ask a lot of questions to get who ever the manager is to agree with me then I go for what I want. I just started this lease and have 14 days to change my mind and will if I cant get a DM who is present. I am sure he is going through something but if he isnt there he does me no good, they have screwed me all up will only have 1330 in my first week so far very unimpressed willing to sit second seat in just about any of the companies I have worked for before if things dont change rapidly. I am patient but with these payments I cant be. I dont think I am being unfair but as a comparison to the companies I worked for before 2009 these guys are cheap and should make an effort to help me out but like I said will talk to someone in management tomorrow if Patrick isnt in. They would rather deal with me in person than over the phone, I wont be unproffesional but I am a little better over the phone plus I will be home so I can make a decision without much to lose

You are absolutely correct ....some of them do resent your DM, from things I have heard ....and I believe they mess with her drivers on purpose.
I feel terrible, jaso36. I know that you had high hopes for TransAm ....and a lot of it based on our thread. Most of us have or had been with TA awhile and we have all had our share of bad times with them, most of it dispatch related ....we all just rode it out. I know it is especially rough when you start out first thing with problems. From what I know of Patrick he is quite competent. If he has a dispatch that he knows you are not going to like he will call you about it .....and talk really fast, LOL ....because he has no choice and just wants to get the deed done. But all in all I believe he knows what he is doing and is willing to listen and work with you if he can. He is not a newbie and has been there several years at least. I think we talked about it in other posts ....but there is normally something going on in the office in October. For what it's worth....I think if you can hang on until things level off and get back to normal, I believe Patrick will do his best to keep you moving. He wasn't ever my husband's favorite but he was far from the worst up there ....and it was probably more of a personality thing rather than a competency issue. -
Thank you, I found it! It was listed with the Monfort Road address on google maps ....but, Cactus Feeders, Road 9 and Monfort Road are all the same road, hence the confusion with the correct address ....even their internet listings were screwy.

They sold this as a business to business relationship(leasing) and I will ask that tomorrow just to be a hundred% sure. You may laugh at what I am going to say next but think about it, if I don't get what I want from the DM or the manager when I call in tomorrow I just call the owner cause in a business to business relationship that is my right. At Central they changed the way they sold leases cause I did the same thing and that guy/girl doesn't want to hear from me but if you speak very professional they will make a few phone calls and things get done real quick or they just get rid of you(LOL) either way I get a result real quick and usually if they don't get rid of you the next guy/girl tries to help out in any way they can, it worked to a degree at JCT but they wouldn't let me change trucks. Patrick maybe really good I have no idea cause he is not there, I am originally from NYC so fast speaking doesn't bother me i can keep up. Thank you for your post and this is just my luck kind of thing and I know it isn't typical but I think a company should be a little different if the situation calls for it. Honeybadger you are one patient person I could never wait that long for a DM they would assign me one just to shut me up or fire me(LOL). BTW way back when I came out of the Navy I did the boiler room broker thing, actually got my license but couldn't stomach what they were really doing but did learn how to sell over the phone. I hope to put that to use when I talk to someone tomorrow it makes people upset but it works and that is all I am doing is selling my way(LOL)
