It must have been someone from Human Resources. Ooops, I mean WDA or Workforce Development and Administration. I agree with the planners thing too. I used to get better miles before they started that. I really got better miles before the "punch in the start of your day deal". I don't know they can get more info and do less with it.

This is entirely my observations alone, but I find when I don't send the mess. 11 I get better dispatches. My dispatcher/dsr/fleet manager will sometimes prompt me for it and I've taken to ignoring him. I still get a load. Use that info however it best suits you.
-
Yup they aren't dispatchers anymore. Every thing management can come up with gets implemented thru the dispatchers. Sh_t rolls downhill and dispatchers get the worst of it these days. My dispatcher at least has the connes to tell me where not to go cause we ain't got no freight outta there!

Lets collectively try to figure out what the dsr actually do
-
Even more fun, get them to explain what they do.
-
They... write you up, so you don't qualify for 2 quarters of bonuses. Don't wanna waste money you don't have to. As I sit, in Mrshfld, again. appearently waiting for my dsr to go to lunch and come back, before my new one. /sigh.

I don't know the answer to that question, let me get back with you.
Now where have i heard this before, ringing in my ears -
The 34 hour reset (36 for Canada) "zeros-out" your logbook and gives you a fresh 60/70 hours to work with. There are other ways of getting back driving time, though. Every day you are on the road after day 7 you will get back whatever hours dropped off the top of your recap column from the previous week. If you worked 10 hours 8 days ago, you get those hours back to use today. Likewise, if you only worked 4 hours 8 days ago, you will only get 4 hours back.
You can save-up hours on days you know will be slow anyway, especially if you know that tomorrow will require you to work more than today, but you don't have many hours coming back tomorrow. Save some of today's hours so you can use them tomorrow. It's a juggling act, and I'm still learning it. -
Driver Roehl doesn't take your bonus away, you chose to give it up. We simply cannot afford to pay bonuses for sub par performance. Now don't bring up examples of operations wasting your time and money. You have to understand that sometimes things don't work out as we wished but we need you to take one for the team.

Any of that sound familiar. Don't feel bad, I missed a mess of bonuses when I first got going...and look at me now!!!
