I used a TCH card when I was independent. They are basically a debit card, but fuel stops accept them as cash equivalent.

Hey Broncrider,
My T6 has a c15 475 hp 10 spd 336rears all the leather, sunroof , and I love it with only 454000 miles I bought an ext. NTP warrenty for 2yr/200,000. I went through my local bank and got 8% on it for 60 months and my payment is 860.00/mo.! I've got 10,000.00 in may bank account and I'm ready to rock. I've checked into one fuel card but they want to access my checking account for withdrawl (didn't like that) So I'll probably use my debit card for now until I can find a good credit card like the mastercard the one guy was talking about. The company I'm leased on with is very small with only about 20 trucks. 5 0/0's that use there own cards! SOME GREAT INFORMATION !! Thanks Gentlemen -
sounds like a nice truck...wish i had a sunroof and an 86" sleeper
a 13 and 3.55 rears and i think you'd be better off for fuel
sorry just never liked a ten......gears are too long
yers might be newer but my bad donkey is still cooler............lol -
I use CFN, with them fuel is cheaper than going to a "service station" (now that's an oxymoron) and if I use my "network" (POMA fuels) it's usually 4 cents cheaper a gallon than say going over to Dewitt Fuels.

I use Comdata and get good discounts, plus I can keep any un-used money on there to use for repairs, oil changes, etc and can draw cash from an ATM if I need to.If you use a credit card or debit card to fuel, you ususally get hit we the xtra fee by the T/S.

Comdata offers a comdata card backed with MasterCard (a comdata card with MasterCard logo on it) All will take this as cash and you will get the cash discount...
Transportation Alliance Bank (AKA TCH, flying J)
Also has a MasterCard backed card
EFS (I am not sure if they have a MasterCard backed card, but i am sure they do)
So, there is your answer...
Get a card that offers both all in one card....
Of coarse you need to have a decent credit rating to get one...
Oh a little info
using a comdata card, TCH ext.. the fuel location does not get paid right away.. It takes 30 day even up to 60 days for them to get paid for the fuel you just purchases from them...
Credit card (or a fuel card backed by MasterCard) they get thier money right away....
You can run the card as a fuel card or run the card as a credit card at the cash register.. When ran as MasterCard they give you the cash discount becuase they get thier money right then... -
We use EFS fuel cards. It's not a charge card, but we do get cash price at the pump. I have to put the money on the cards (they do not access my account). Plus I can turn them off if they are left behind, or the driver quits, or is on vacation....whatever....from my computer. And can issue T-Cheks for repairs, tires, etc.

Truckerjo;; Thank you sounds like a good way to go. (The comdata card)
This week I just took my atm card and got cash and paid for my fuel. Worked out great but don't like to carry alot of cash. Thanks for the tips
ran good this week, not to hard not alot of miles made 2850.00 avg. of 1.51/mile !! -
If you have decent credit look into a simply cash card from American Express. It gives you 5% back on all purchases for your buisness. It also gives you up to 60 days to pay your bill.

yes, but isn't that the same as a debit card or a credit card ? If I pull up to a Pilot lets say and get on the phone they say how ya paying ? I say credit or debit, I have to go inside, give them my card and guess what I return to the pump and even with my debit card it goes up 5 or 6 cents a gallon. Will this American Express Blue Cash business card do the same or do I need to argue with the attendant and say its the same as cash ?
