I got a good van for $1400 in 2009 from them. Try to find an auction that is flooded with flatbeds for the best price -
why not look up the auction section in the truck paper.you may get a better deal there. Most fleet equipment that is worth buying are sold as a group of discounted equipment to a dealer.

Melton Truck Lines has some pictured on their website.
-
Roehl and TMC have some from time to time.

DONT BUY TMC!!!!!! Their trailer are complete junk. I drove for them...they maintained the trucks but the trailers were a joke. Most have rusted undercarriage. Brake lines, suspension, levelers...all rusted. most of the ones they sell have been in a roll over accident. I highly recommend saving your money, getting a loan and buying new. Companies take care of their trucks but most neglect their trailers. Bent axles, bad alinement, malfunctioning brakes (that the fix just good enough for show), leaking air bags. All things to look forward to with a used trailer. Most shippers wont accept one that's to old anyway.
-
Most shippers wont accept an old trailer??? I think that is a bit of a stretch. We have three trucks and trailers running around and have never been asked the age of our trailers.
-
don't know about most. but there are defentily some that won't load 8 or 10 year old trailers. they ask for your regristration before you even get in the gate.
mcmoran-freeport comes to mind. and they load both flats and vans. -
Ask for registration at the gate? Wow.
In almost 20 years, can't say I've had that happen to me.
Only ones that have asked for my reistration was Milatary bases and that was not because of year.
Not trying to argue, just stating it must be really rare, or I'm really lucky. -
Go to a papermill and you'll see. And yes they use flatbeds sometimes. Also seen it at scrap paper and scrap.metal plants.
