That's so typical! I did two swaps in one day at Winslow, and neither trailer was worth spit. Then in Colton, I had my choice of three available trailers (all dirty and unfueled!) and each one was worse than the other. Tonight in Sapulpa, I parked next to a new recruit hooking up to 73XX, one of our newest trailers. Maybe I can get a D/H tomorrow.

Yeah, you reminded me about that one the other day. I'll remember it next time, but at the time I had that particular situation, it's location had escaped me. It was nice of the planner to take care of it all though.

I made it to Grandview, WA. tonight averaging 8.8 mpg for the trip from City of Industry, CA (I ended up picking up at Americold rather than WCC) to Grandview, WA.

I talked to my DM today and he said he was going to try to get me routed east from here so I can stop by the terminal (I have my little brother on the truck with me right now and wanted to show him around. He used to drive, but had to stop because he's losing his eyesight. I wanted to get him on the truck for a bit while he can enjoy it, before the lights go out completely).

I guess it really helped me out on my mpg (8.8 mpg from Industry, CA. to Grandview, WA.) having trailer #7118...super singles and side skirts....gotta love it!

TT That is very kind of you to care enough to take your brother with you so he can enjoy the views before things get worse with his vision, I wish there was a way to save our vision and hearing but there isn't much just to prolong it is about all they can do. Thanks for sharing, Take Care of your brother. Be safe out there!.

Easily fixed. Stuff him in a freezer bag in one of the horrid trailers and take the good one. No one will notice he's gone, students are easily replaced, and everyone will blame the trailer condition for killing the poor kind. Foolproof.

And you DID say you wanted a "dead head"...
