What NOT to do!

Seems to me the original was posted on fb not here or youtube and since there are so many postings of that same video who's to say which one is the original or the original poster? And there is nothing mentioned about it in fb. As for the damage you think you see, many of our trucks have the same bare spots from cheap paint jobs and wind. Just like Martins hood it would have cracked not flexed had he hit the bridge.

Seeing damage to the roof of a white truck, when it is white underneath the paintwork, may be difficult though.

As far as the the roof fairing goes, they will indeed flex without showing huge cracks. They are not as rigid as a hood. I'm not going to spend my time bothering to find the other videos and pics where you can see the flexing. You've already demonstrated your willingness to perform mental gymnastics to defend this guy because he happens to share your employer.

 

I don't think he is defending the guy at all. All he said was he did not see and damage to indicate the guy hit the bridge.

Yes it is hard to not get defensive with this same video getting posted 6 different times and a lot of people saying no one at usa can drive because of a couple of idiots.

As for jfrog being a "homer" I guess he is to a point. But he says he has been at USA awhile and is happy for the most part. Not everyone looks for a reason to bash or hate their employeer. That seems to be a common thread on TTR for the medium to mega companies. If you don't bash your company then your a homer, stupid, a rookie, supertrucker, gullible, etc... not everyone has a bad expierience. Some are happy or content with their situation and employment.

But then I guess thet makes me a homer too?

Ok, checked the comments out again on the fb post and saw nothing saying I went and offered to lend him a hand and he told me no, nor did I see that happening in the video.

Just because I have a different opinion than you does not mean you are a liar, and I did not call you one.
Name calling happens when the position you are taking is weak. Many of our politicians use that routine during elections.
So go ahead and call me silly names, you aren't the first and you won't be the last.

 

People, you have to learn to ignore frog, he says some pretty off the wall things on here. I honestly don't think he is a driver, I believe he is in ops at usa. he is just stirring up touble whenever he can. if anyone should be banned it is frog!!

Now the guy who took the video isn't a truck driver (neither is the guy in the truck, but I digress,) but he at least got out of his vehicle and tried. I don't know about you, but if I'm in a jam and see someone getting out to help me, I'm at least going to see what they have in mind. Does it cross your mind that the reason the video picks up where it does is because that's when he got back in his vehicle?!?

I give up. BTW, when you tell someone that what they referenced doesn't say anything like what they said? That is calling someone a liar. A difference of opinion would be disagreeing about the meaning, not denying content as you did.

And 'Homer' isn't name calling, it's a descriptor of your behavior in defense of your company and fellow employees, even in light of something indefensible. A Homer is the guy whose team never does anything wrong, it's always the ump or the ref or the other guy, no matter how plain the evidence might be otherwise. From the Urban Dictionary:

 

Just flat out...the driver of that usa truck should have NEVER been Allowed to drive a truck...to have or not to have the intelligence to see that you're not going to make that turn and still try 3x's while tearing up the truck just confirms that the hiring standards at usa truck are as follow...got a pulse & breathing??..well we want you in our driver seat..most training outfits have simliar standards and that's why this industry is going to heck..

i have trained before and I'll say this much...the quality or lack there of is mind boggling..alot of these drivers coming into training have no business driving a truck much less a car...geez,it's pathetic...id estimate probably 1 out 10 students are actually worth a darn and can drive.
