Hey, thanks for all your input.
BlairandGretchen its 19.29 to start and as stated earlier my schedule will be running wild until I get some seniority.
ACH1130 I actually look forward to forklift driving since I have never driven one and I think it's a valuable skill in today's market.
CenturyClass its a hub of about 50 drivers, I think the one in Tulsa is larger. I understand the forklift side and to me the money is great. I'll do whatever they ask. I am coming from making .30 cents a mile and running my 70 out every week. They hired me and another guy and have a CDL class starting soon. So I think I gain some rank quick.
I am not afraid of hard work I come from working dollar tree dedicated which involved unloading 40,000 pounds of freight in one day with horrible rollers. I have pulled conway loads before never knew why that was until now.
Here I come Con-Way Freight LTL

Congratulations! I've never done OTR, but from what I'm gathering, generally speaking, the WORST LTL experience is still better than OTR. Better money, home every day... Gotta start somewhere, and being the bottom man isn't much fun, but time should take care of that. The 9-10 hour shifts DO exist out there...
Sounds like you have the right attitude. I'm of the opinion that attitude plays a major role in an individuals success... -
if you work line-haul for conway expect to max out your 70 quite often...
At least you got the right attitude towards it nd you should end up doing fine there then. -
Yea it was weird as I was running errons today in Ardmore, OK where I live, i seen a Conway day cab tractor pulling doubles and answered my own question lol. Dunno if they r outta DFW or OKC because I know Ardmore doesn't have Conway terminal or last I checked they didn't. They have a company called Koch trucking here in Ardmore, but I never hear or c much about them. Enjoy ur new home time. B safe

Any day you leave Swift is a good day. As for your new job all I'm gonna say is: put your patience hat on and build your seniority. Even if you end up being a dockworker with a CDL running once a month, it's still better money and way more hometime than Swifty, just remember that when you are loading the third CRST trailer of the night lol
pathfinder1361, ACH1130, jakebrake12 and 1 other person Thank this. -
