I just talked to a recruiter today and they said it was 44cpm but she said it wasn't split, that it was paid out to each driver just the miles they run. This seemed a little strange since most others just do the split on all miles for the truck. I had kinda a bad connection so maybe her explanation was lost in the static. Anybody have some insight into this?

They also said you get 6 preferred days off a month. Just wondering how likely is it that we could be out 2 weeks, have 3 days off and repeat? The recruiter said yes but it'd be nice to get some real life input on that.

i don't know anything about team pay, but the time off I can vouch for.

They always got me home on the exact days i requested. i was a few hours late getting home once or twice during the year I was there. And once or twice, they wanted me to go back out a few hours early because of the way the load was scheduled. Neither were a big deal and i had no prob with it considering how they managed to get me home on my requested dates, every time.

i just quit last month, so my exp with them is recent. Good luck!

I found a job that gets me home every weekend. There was a lot more to it than just the home time, but that was the big reason. I really liked Schneider Bulk and I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I needed to.

    Yes, pretty much hooked!

Ethos (a bulk road trainer) posted a thread here a while back, lots of good info if you're interested in knowing more. There's also a few more bulk threads if you dig back a few pages.

I would also say that the first few months can be frustrating. I dont know if you have any exp, but when they kick you out of the nest and tell you to fly, you'll probably feel clueless if you dont. At least I did. In training, they provide basic framework on how not to get fired or get yourself killed. You'll learn the rest on your own. Just hang in there and whatever you do, don't quit. You will learn a LOT. As ethos put it, don't hit anything, don't spill anything, don't be late and you'll be fine.

It will probably be easier if you're teaming , having two brains is probably better than one.
