Yeah, the DEA needs to leave those drug dealers alone, after all, they're just selling a product that consumers want. It's the addicts who are causing the problem by buying the product!

I like the last sentence in the article>Stores don't kill economies, consumers do. -
10 years ago China was an exporter of oil. Today they are buying oil companies in Africa and Eastern Europe and importing all the oil they can get their hands on. What most people don't realize is when they save a dime buying something made in China at Walmart or anywhere else you are driving the price at the gas pump up 50 cents a gallon.
Remember when things made in Japan were referred to as Jap crap? Today Japanese products are among the most technologically advanced. 10 years from now it will be the same with Chineses products. -
We quit shopping at walmart about 6 months ago and you wouldn't beleive the money we have saved. Now we go to other stores and only get what we went to the store to buy. I have been telling my wife for years we should try and buy at other stores besides walmart. Well I think they have looked at her receipt and what is in the cart one too many times and pissed her off one too many times. She said no more walmart and we are saving money.

The most technologically advanced huh? Does that also include the lead in the paint on childerns toys? -
I have found the same to be true with Walmart Supercenters. Their grocery part of the deal has SOME good prices on food, but Fry's (a local chain owned by Kroger's) has FAR better prices overall, I rarely shop at Walmart grocery except for some specific items, and that, as I say, once in a great while.
I also find that other places have better quality products than what you find at Walmart. Perhaps you pay a little more, but in the end, it pays off, for me anyway. I went to Walmart a month ago looking for a computer desk - I didn't like the looks of the stuff. It LOOKED cheap. I went to Fry's Electronics and found a GREAT looking desk for a good price. Did I save money? This desk wouldn't have been any cheaper at Walmart.
Okay, admittedly I still find good deals on things at Walmart - I haven't banned them altogether. Plants for one thing. I doubt they ship plants over from China. I find such great deals on outdoor and indoor plants at Walmart, compared to almost every other place, that I pretty much just go there for them. Sometimes I know Walmart has something I need and I don't have the time to go shopping around. But another local chain - well I think they're nationwide - Anna's linens has some good deals on things I need around the house.
I'm just saying that I don't like to spend all my money at one place. That's the kind of economics that puts other places out of business, something I don't think is good for the American economy. -
I agree the food is not always priced the best
Now their clothes have great prices
Except you have to buy three sizes larger than you need, I have never seen clothes shrink so much in my life.
The one real good deal they have is their toys, they have the best prices on transformers than any one around.
Lots of retailers claim Walmart breaks the minimum mark up law, all the time!!! -
I agree with the Clothes thing! I buy my size and I can't wear them, they don't fit.
I have to buy a larger size to wear their dresses or slacks. Jeans are about right but anything else I have trouble with. -
You have to know what is good there and what isn't. I hate their produce. Some items are cheaper there, but many are cheaper buying at a regular grocery store. Most pre-packaged items are more expensive, but dairy is definetely cheaper there. I do most of my shopping at Costco anyway.

This:
says it all folks.
If you want to live in a house you own and have the ability to send your kids to college, you need to have skills other than stocking shelves, checking out groceries and rounding up the carts in the parking lot.
