the elog. takes care of everything for you.

just don't go trying to roll the wheels when your not supposed to. cuz the elog gets more angry then a mad woman. and GAWD forbid you should want to go to the store or something. on your own time.

oh, and make sure you don't do any sudden decel's. (hitting the brakes). you'll get a call from the office.:biggrin_25519:

A few years ago I did split break on e-logs, but it put me back on duty automatically when it thought the split break was finished, and ate up some valuable time on my 14 hour clock.

I even called logs but they assured me that's how it works. I'm a bit skeptical since other conversations with log department made it clear to me that people that work in logs don't fully understand it either.

Was this legal and correct, or glitch in the qualcom system?

Dispatch always had panic attacks over split breaks anyways, so I gave up on trying to use them.

    That would be a glitch.

There are no regulations that require you to come back on duty at any specific time... only how much time you have to be off to qualify for resets.

That's what I thought, but also second guessed that I missed something when reading the rules. Yeah, the qualcom put me back on duty automatically, and log department refused to fix it, saying its how the split break works. Maybe just their way of discouraging drivers from doing any more split breaks.
