Well sitting here still in Odessa, Had to turn down good paying ld, because the trk/trl. just a tad to long for BC.
Needed my back deck to put pieces on so I could not flip my axle up.

Then after the news this morning I'm really questioning do I want to stay in the hauling side of this any more.
Maybe I need to just open the go go bar in Thailand if my wife would let me..
That or a small restaraunt and bar..

That or try and get an inside job dispatching..

Well it's just an inter office politics deal.
Our heavy haul terminal boss and 2 dispatchers gave notice they were going to another company and opening a brand new terminal for them..
The new President flew in and told the their services were no longer needed as of today. This morning. The one sales rep/ dispatcher is taking 2 main accounts with her, plus what ever the the former terminal boss had.
I've known these people for over 20 years. Even though I've only been here for just a little over a year.
Kindda hits home.
They were not even give a counter offer.
There's a lot more to it, but I can not or will not state on an open board. Just makes me nervous.
I like being here, but kinda loyal to these people with me as well.
The main heavy haul guy gave me a chance last year after my little issue I had in Md.
That means alot to me..

 

That kind of stuff is really tough. Hate to hear of that happening to you guys.

 

Yea, there are a bunch of us wondering what's going to happen.
The main office is worried how many of us might leave as well..

Any how I think I got a ld. booked for Vegas. Will have the answer in the morning.
I bumped their offer up an extra 700.
I was joking with the broker when she gave me the rate and said you were close, but a little off.
She said I have heard that all day. She said that the customer set the rate. I said ok, if they come to this rate I can do it. 20 minutes later she said they will have the answer first thing in the morning.
So maybe my wife and I might take a short holiday in Vegas
