Gotta love when you get pulled in a scale for a level 3 pass it but given no paperwork stating you passed and when you ask for them to do their job it turns into a level one. ####### Utah.

Yea but it pisses me off that they don't want to do the paperwork unless there is a violation. A company needs all the good inspections it can get to offset the bad and unless the state DOT records it it didn't happen.

sitting in Hugo, Ok. trying to dry out.
Went and lded. the dump trk. going to Vegas.
Pulled a dumb rookie mistake today loading. I forgot to drive the dump truck steer axle on blocks. Got blocking in between the bottom of the axle and the deck. Then I hooked up and realized I had no ground clearance with the steer tires. Ok. unchain the front end and move my trk. forward and get the tires on the blocks.
Redid my block and aired up. Crap heavy on the rear. Had to move it forward about 1 1/2 foot.
Long day and playing in the rain did not help..

Spent the day putting a seat in on the passenger side that actually has the air ride function that works (old seat from my FLD).... so I will unload in the morning at the power plant, the shoot 10 miles down the road and load up a OD going to Ft. Wayne and come back to the house with it. Then friday the wife is going with to deliver in Ft. Wayne, then reload in Plymouth and come back home for the weekend. So far, this local/regional thing is working out well, and the wife is much happier with me being home. We shall see what the winter months bring tho. Luckily, even if the specilized freight falls off, i have plates and coils i can run every day.

    Clasix1055 and MJ1657 Thank this.

Local regional is awesome. It makes for some long days but knowing you'll be home on the weekend and some during the week makes it all worth it to me. We will see if it holds true but I'll probably exclusively run some of our direct accounts this winter and park it the rest of the time.

Edit: I would like to park it all winter which might happen but the boss may need some income. Go figure.... He's younger then me and goes south for the winter (Without a truck).
