planning on taking 4 days off thanxgiving weekend, so gonna wait till after that to start vugging him. if i get one now, i'll have to turn it in since taking too many days off.

 

Does Swift have a parking policy if you live within a certain distance from a terminal?

 

they say within 50 mile you have to park truck at terminal. but each terminal has their own rules in seems.

 

btw... i got up yesterday and turned on qc. seems the nav part wasn't working. had to do mac 12 to get directions and write it all down. didn't get lost though . working today. went to the qc main box and pushed in all the connections. so don't know if they were loose or not. didn't feel like it

 

New Castle, IN. Del in the morning in Cleveland and yesterday already got a pplan. PU in Clyde and head down to Houston for Monday morning. This will be my 5th load board load. Have not seen a Swift pplan in over a month now.

 

Steve, you will get to like them more and more as you haul more. They are already working on getting me out of Houston on Monday with a nice one that can deliver on Wednesday. Before I took this one to Houston, they offered me 4 within 80 miles of where I was delivering in the morning.

 

At the Love's in Jonestown, PA. Gonna deliver early tomorrow then who knows. Command struck out and nothing on Mac30 either.

 

They (Command) came through with a load going to AZ when Swift had NOTHING out of Houston. Then they had the load I'm currently under which loaded 10 miles from where I MTed out in North Charleston, SC. Only thing Swift had picked up 130 miles away and only had 315 loaded miles.

I DO NOT expect them to always have what I want/need. When I checked earlier today all they had near me in PA was a short load that picked up in Philly (no way, no how!) and was less than 300 miles.

I finished today with 1:01 on my 70, only 7:32 comming off tomorrow. If I have to I'll head for the Pilot on I-80 near Hazleton and take a 34. Something will come up, always does!

 

Steve - not saying this is the case here - but start thinking in terms of total revenue for the trip. If the mt miles are high, figure out your number that you would do the trip for and throw it at command. Sometimes they can come through with the revenue to make it work.

Baytown, deliver in Houston tomorrow ... crap from Mac 30 so far and broker freight is all low ball.
