Some million years ago, when he had 4 trucks I've worked for him. Surprisingly he was ok guy. Kept you busy, and paid what he promised. And yes speaking Polish is a plus, but I think I've seen a black dude in one of his trucks.

If you live anywhere near Chicago the company I work for (YRC Freight) is looking for both road and city drivers at our terminal in Chicago Heights. Last I heard we need 50 road and 30 city.
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
I know their trucks are fast. Even in a fast truck, I get passed by them. Though it could be because I set the cruise at the speed limit, and have time to run my load legally. These guys are ALWAYS in a hurry---say's something now doesn't it?
-
I work for em. Equipment is meh, pay is ok, benefits I don't care about at this point.
Trucks are governed at 80! -
I think most are governed at 74 75 I usually take it easy at 68 but when they fly by me like I'm parked and stare with their pipes in the mouth I step full throttle as I'm passing I stare back with my chin on the dash board.. creepers
-
Hey at least if ur gonna run illegal do it at 80mph right?
skibum_63 Thanks this. -
I drive here... They are decent... Pay is on a W-2 not 10-99 like the other donkey tried to state... They do have health, dental and vision but with oboama care coming it might change somewhat...They also offer 401k Matching... Yes alot of people here are Polish including the owner but Polish people are good... Pay is OK...Not great but alot of factors go into it... If you wanna sit at a truck stop and monkey around this aint the job for you... trips are round trip so the length of haul is long and the sitting and waisting time at shippers and recievers is not there... You load chicago drive to say LA deliver then go get realoaded somewhere then drive back to chicago for delivery... 1 week 4 docks at most... You can hook a preloaded trailer in chicago but it deducts $60 from your check...you can also drop your loaded trailer at the yard which is a deduct of $60 from your check but if you look at it...In 1 week youve only bumbped 2 docks one for your California Delivery and one for your reload... It works for me...Trucks run 80mph... They run Chicago and west with the exception of Georgia and Florida... Yards In Summit,IL (Chicago) Santa Fe Springs,CA and Stockton,CA... Round trip Chicago to Californina is $1500 plus $50 per extra pickup and $30 per extra delivery... Different pay for different points... Round trip Las Vegas= $1390 Washington and Orgeon =$1500... Some not so good things is they dont pay detention which sucks when your at a produce shipper in southern california which takes 8 hours to even give you a dock...another thing that sucks is if you pick a load up from the yard you have to go weigh it at the Boilingbrook I-55 truck stop which anyone who has been their knows it sucks...and if the load is over weight you have to drive back to summit ( 18 Miles ) but depening upon the time of day 18 miles up I-55 can be well over an hour on way...That sucks...and no you dont get paid extra.... If you like LONG runs...NO east coast ALL west coast you might like this company... My first truck has 1.2 Million miles on it but runs like hell... Im happy here...BlueThunderr and Florida Playboy Thank this.
