BKC here to tell yall about day 1. It was a long day so bear with me. Ok first everybody had to be to lobby at 5:00 to wait for the bus and omg it was so many people in the lobby everybody had to check in and turn their key in like we in bootcamp or something. Ok so bus post to be there at five right? but didnt show up till 6 and he had to make three trips cuz the group was so large U have the orientation guys, expericed guys, and the students guys all bunch in the hotel.
So we finally get to the place and they split everybody up to the places we need to be. So me several other people went on to another classroom and the students who didn't have their cdl's stay in the classroom everybody was in.
So basically we had to take a drug screen and physical and do a pre hire interview and just fill out some paperwork. my physical came back ok.
Also I had to do a road test and I did backing good I had to straight line back and blindside parallel. But the rest I was messing up bad on down shifting and shifting because it been about a month since I been on a truck also it was a 8 speed and i was kinda rusty. So my instructor told don't worry about today he will get me str8 on Thursday so I aint worried about dat.
What I'm concerned about is half the people got disqualfied today from there physical saying they had highblood pressure and other medical reasons including my roommate which is mess up. These people were so mad today because they have to get on the greyhound tommorow and go home and take care of things and come back next week and let me remind all these people live all over the United States and had to take long ### busrides to get here which is mess up.
I dont why they had all these people come at here and now on second day are getting sent home. A lot of students are so pissed!!!!!!
Well on the way back to the hotel the bus that picks us up had broke down on the side of the highway for 15minutes and I got hot off of dat to plus the bus didn't have ac.
Well dats it from me well tell yall about day 2.
I'm so tired right holla at cha boy tommrow...

Considering what I've heard about england, My experience with a extremely pushy recruiter a while back, and my father-in-laws fairly recent truck accident while employed at england, I would take that as a sign of things to come, turn tail and run. Lots of great companies out there if you want to drive a truck. This forum will help you find them

You've come this far, so you may as well stick it out. Wait on the trainer and see what he's like. If he sucks, get another. Or at least TRY to get another. If they give you static over getting another trainer, go ahead and bolt.
If training works out, try to stay with them for 6 months. Don't become a job hopper playing the hippity-hop game from outfit to outfit. If you become a job hopper, you'll be handcuffed to the jobs that you'll only want to quit three days after starting. -
Grand ma Debi just finished CAT!!! She is back in Salt Lake City....
One more required class and then on to her next adventure!
She says stay positive and stick it out!!!!
Wave when you see me I'll be the happy Lady in the Big Red CR England truck!!!
Watch for my soon to come post....
coming soon!
and now for the rest of the story -
GrandmaDebi..... If I see a happy lady in a big red CRE truck, I'll be sure to wave because I will know its you.... You'll be the ONLY happy lady in a big red CRE truck lol
For real though, for whoever likes CRE and has had a positive experience, thats great! Keep on safely puttin the miles to the road. You cant get as large as CRE is without doing SOMETHING right. Truthfully though, the best advice I can give(even though I wasnt really asked) , and its real, truthful USEFUL advice and it WILL someday save your butt, at any company that uses it.... If your dispatcher EVER tries to tell you to do something unsafe/illegal/or that you even so much as question, make sure you tell that dispatcher to send it to you through your QUALCOMM. Because most dispatchers will forget your name. "We even have a truck number - whatever?"
