D12 Fuel Pressure

    We have a 2003 with a D12C, faults are Low Fuel Pressure Delivery and Injector 5 and 6 Mechanical Failure....


    Low pressure fuel reads 30 PSI at Idle... Is this normal, if not what is the normal low pressure fuel reading at idle and when the engine is reved to a certain RPM.

    Filters have been checked..

    Truck runs rough and takes a lot of cranking to start.

    No fuel in coolant or Oil...

    Any hints as to what we can do for more troubleshooting...

    New fuel pump...mine was showing low fuel pressure and rough running and hard starts.

    yep, I sugest worn fuel pump...

    BTW, in 2002 version 2 was introduced, and D12C (E2/E3) was discontinued becouse of new emission laws, so D12C was not available in '03. They used D12D, w/o EGR in EU and with EGR in NA, later they put EGR in Euro trucks

    Update, this one ended up having the Injector Cups and O Rings replaced, now working good...
