I'm sure that would lead nowhere productive. I avoid any and all contact except in case of an actual emergency, or if my hand is forced (weigh station etc). I'm somewhat resentful of always being viewed a guilty of something or other, and encounters with most LEO's are detrimental to my bottom line.

not at all. I've lost many nights of sleep due to those two reasons. atleast once per week.

Spyder, my fan can drown out a cummins once I get sleepy enough. I love the sound, but can't stand the air dryer or even the vibration of my own truck

my Volvo uses 0.4 g/hr.
NOT 1 g/hr
and they don't mind. -
number of power units are listed on the fmcsa websight. don't need to work for anyone to find out what they have.

The main problem with idling in many company trucks is the auto cutoff. I'm dealing with that now. Touching the fuel or brake or clutch pedals ever minute or so is not a good way to get a night sleep when the bunk heater wont light off.
