Hi every one I am new to this so bear with me.
I am going to get my cdl soon with prime trucking inc.
I am holding off on applying till I get my ducks in a row.
I was a plumber till economy went bad.
I want to get into something that keeps me working for a change.
I have read on net that trucking will keep me away from home for weeks at a time.
So I would like to get as many things ready as I can befor starting this process.
One thing I would like to do is study for the cdl permit.
I can't find any practice test or anything to read and study for it.
Is it something that I can study the day befor I take the test?
Is it just the road sign test?
I know others get through this all right.
I am nervous about this not knowing if I need to study for this or not.
I would feel much better if some of you experienced prime truckers could help me out with this.
    Thank you in advance

    Chinatown Thanks this.

Go to the top of this page and click on "CDL Practice Tests", these are the same questions you will take at the DMV.

Thank you Chinatown for the quick response.
I already knew several places on the web to study for the actual cdl test.
What I was wanting to know was if there was a way to study for the Missouri permit test.
I just did not want to get down there the day before and find out that I don't have time to study for the permit.
Or should I even be worried about it.

Go to your states DMV website first and see if they post what's required to have in order to take the CDL test for your learners permit. You will need to take the tests for Class A, Airbrakes and any other endorsements you want or need. You may need to have your DOT physical card too.

    Chinatown and Curt66111 Thank this.

wing_rider is correct, you will need a DOT medical card. Check around, depending on where you live, they cost anywhere from $50.00 to $120.00

They're strict on blood pressure and sugar levels. Cinnamon capsules help regulate sugar levels. I get cinnamon capsules at Walmart and take one twice a day.

The Missouri permit test is the same practice test at the top. I live in mo as well and use these tests when getting new endorsements. The mo study guide can be used online as well.

Thank you all for the info.
I have already studied the general knowledge test.
I will start on the air breaks test.
The Recruter said that even though I live in KS I will be taking the MO cdl tests because the Prime Training Ctr is located in Springfield MO.
I also understand (hopefully correctly) that the HAS MAT laws very so much from state to state that I should wait till I transfer the cdl to my home state of KS before taking the HAS MAT indorsement.
Again thank you for this information.
This forum is a great source of information due to the experienced truckers that participate.
I have found that the Recruter has sketchy answers to some of my questions.
I will continue to read the truckers report forum gaining valuable knowledge along my future path of OTR trucking.
    Good luck to you all.
