Hi all,
I currently reside in Hamilton, OH and looking to get CDL A certified. I had a friend recently get his through a community college program and he highly recommended going that route. I'm just looking for any suggestions on anyone that has had experience or knows anything about the programs in the area. I want to make sure I dont get ripped off or locked into a crappy company if I decide to go the train-to-hire route.
Thanks

Millis - Bill is the best there is and staying with Millis for 2 years to pay off school is easy. You can easily make 50k+ your first year and see home often where you are. Stop by the terminal and meet Bill. That should make your mind up.

I grew up in Hamilton myself. Parents are still there. Millis has smaller classes so if you need additional help it is available. Bill will go out of his way to help you.

I just got mine and im from east side of cincinnati. Before u do anything call napier truck driver training off route 4 in hamilton just before fairfield. They will help set u up with the wia program where the county will pick up qll ur tuition and everything. One of the best training programs i have seen. Nice thing is they bring in recruiters to all kinds of companiea from the megas to small regional and local flatbedders to local delivery positions. They will make sure u pass. They will let u stay in program as long as if takes. If u dont qualify or napier is not what ur looking for its cool. Second best option is Millis

Thanks everybody! I've been looking at Napier but wasn't to sure about their legitimacy. Its good to hear someone vouching for the program and the WIA payoff deal is a huge plus!
Ill definitely give it a shot. Ill check out Mills too. Any other suggestions??

Let me say this about Napier. My company Shaffer trucking only works with certain schools in the country and only a few in Ohio. Napier is one of the few. Also, free lifetime placement assistance. You quit or need another job especially local they will put u in contact witht those that are hiring.
